04 Jul 2008RBa,will you give any info about the viruses vulnerability of nokia 3110c?,I've heard that the. No this phone isn't vulnerable to viruses. Some known mobile viruses are 'locknut.sis', 'draver.sis', 'cabir.sis(displayed as 'caribe.sis' on a phone)' and many more viruses to mention. As you can observe, these viruses have a file extension of '.sis'. So these viruses would only infect the Symbian S60 Smartphones of up to the 2nd edition of the Symbian S60 User Interface and thus keeping the S40 phones (such as the Nokia 3110c) safe from viruses. So no need to worry about viruses because as any software or application types that are of the 'sis' file type aren't supported by Java phones. So go ahead if you wish to download songs.
But just a single shot to remind you that this 3110c is highly sensitive to corrupted files most especially the corrupted mp3's. So be very careful when transferring the songs to the phone. Rating 0.

vGj. 03 Jul 2008Hi, i'm using this phone for a month now. Why is that everytime i used to send bluetooth to m. The problem is with your phone memory.
Its 9 Mb or so. Your file first get transferred to your phone memory and not the memory stick(that 2gb one.
Also you cannot change this option. So either clear your phone memory by removing unwanted messages etc. You might have enough memory then, still you cannot, the better use the usb cable and transfer from phone. That would be my best advice to you.:-). Rating 0.
?. Anonymous. PRQ. 30 Jun 2008I noticed that some of you are very obsessed in getting the 'LATEST' firmware for our 3110c units. I bought my fone last february and its still version 05.50. I dont bother upgrading it to a higher firmware because i don't experience restart problems so far.

I have 50+ songs in m4a format (i used nokia music manager), 1 theme (you only need 1 theme for your fone, duh?! Apply only your favorite one. Don't bother putting a collection of themes in your fone. Changing themes once in a while may cause restart problems), a lot of pictures and some videos. Just listen to other forumers that you should be careful not to place a corrupted file in your fone. Hmm and you know what, an mp3 song that is not fully converted to m4a format may also be considered corrupted. I had this one song before, it is a 9mb song so i converted it to m4a format.
I thought it was already converted but when i played it in the cellphone, it doesnt play. Maybe the song has copyright protection so i immediately removed it from the phone. I just followed their advices and so far, i didn't encounter restart problems. Good thing for me because i am a very busy person and i cant waste my time going to nokia centers just for upgrade.
